Marguerite A. O'Brien, age 94 of Fairfield, passed away peacefully, Wednesday, January 26, 2022 in the Connecticut Hospice, Branford. Marguerite was born in Bridgeport, July 7, 1927, daughter of the late Howard J. and Marguerite F. Howell O'Brien. After graduating from Bassick High School, she attended Butler Business School, and went onto work her entire adult life at Sikorsky Aircraft in the Personnel Department. She was a devoted daughter, sister and aunt, as well as a faithful parishioner of Assumption Church, who loved attending Mass and praying the Rosary. Although quiet, she loved flowers, a straight up Manhattan, and to be at family gatherings. Marguerite was predeceased by her sisters, Dorothy McCall and Marion R. O'Brien. Survivors include a niece, Mary Lou Evans of Milford, nephews, Tucker McCall and wife, Marie of Bradford, Mass. and Brian McCall and wife, Susan of Fairfield, great-nieces and nephews, Brian Evans and wife, Julia, Jack McCall, Tim McCall, Jennifer Brod, Kirsten Rosa, Katherine McCall, and Tim McCall. She also leaves cousins, Duane Howell and wife Margaret of Trumbull and Sandra Howell of New York. Funeral services will be held Monday, at 11:30a.m., in Our Lady of the Assumption Church Hall (due to church construction), 545 Stratfield Road, Fairfield, with a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Lawncroft Cemetery. Friends may call Monday morning after 9:30a.m., in the Redgate - Hennessy Funeral Home, Main Street and Gorham Place, Trumbull.
