Marie Sebesta Ramirez, age 80, formerly of Fairfield, CT passed away Friday, December 22, 2017 in Middletown, NY. She was the beloved wife of the late Luis M. Ramirez M.D. Born in Norwich, NY she was the daughter of the late Alexander and Rita McNamee Sebesta. Marie was a Fairfield resident for over 50 years.  Graduating valedictorian from Charles S. Wilson Memorial Hospital in Johnson City, NY as an RN where she met the love of her life, Luis.  She was a dedicated mother of six children, and she was a devot Catholic who was deeply involved in helping the community.  She was active with St. Vincent’s Medical Center Auxiliary serving as president, Fairfield Prep Auction Chairwoman for many years, as well as being a Fairfield County Realtor. Her greatest joy in life was being with her family and celebrating every milestone. She is survived by her loving children sons Luis M. Ramirez Jr., Joseph Ramirez and his wife Deborrah, James Ramirez and his wife Jennifer, daughters, Maria Bradley and her husband Neil, Ann Cicchiello and her husband Gary, and Kathleen Kurek and her husband John, 14 grandchildren, William & fiancé Karina Silvester, Ryan and wife Betsy, and Katie Bradley, Dominique, Luis III and Bella Ramirez, Alex, and Ashley Ramirez, Aimee and Christopher Cicchiello, Mackenzie and Jack Kurek, Griffin and Scarlett Ramirez, her sister Judith Cahill, brother Rev. James A. Sebesta SJ and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11:00am meeting directly in Our Lady of the Assumption Church, 545 Stratfield Road, Fairfield, CT with a Mass of Christian Burial.
