Marilyn L. Chisnall, beloved wife of the late David Chisnall, died peacefully at home on December 23 with her daughters by her side. Born in Bridgeport, daughter of the late Arthur and Evelyn Strasburger Laske, she was a graduate of Lauralton Hall, attended the Junior College of Connecticut and was a Trumbull resident most of her life. After her daughters were grown, she worked for several years in the Trumbull Public Schools.
Always proud of the family she came from and of the one she raised, her marriage of nearly 64 years was one of great happiness, mutual consideration and enduring love. In later years, she and David enjoyed winters in Florida and time spent at their second home on Cape Cod. All her life, she greeted friends and strangers alike with a pleasant expression on her beautiful face and a sparkle in her blue eyes. It was, by her own assessment, a wonderful life.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Arthur Laske, Jr. Survivors include her devoted daughters Sharon Tobin (Joseph), Lauren Chisnall (James Pouilliard) and Diane Chisnall-Joy (Richard Joy); grandchildren Crystal Chandler (James), Katharine Louik (Max), Adam Pouilliard (Stacey Steep), Marshall Tobin and Autumn Tobin; and great-grandchildren Mavis and Emilia Louik, and Elizabeth and Jack Pouilliard.
Arrangements are being handled by Redgate-Hennessy Funeral Home, Trumbull. There will be no calling hours. Following a private service for the family, interment will be at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Marilyn’s memory may be made to Regional Hospice, 30 Milestone Road, Danbury, CT 06810, or Guiding Eyes for the Blind, 611 Granite Springs, Yorktown Heights, NY 10598.
