Marjorie Quinn Medley, age 92 of Bridgeport passed away Friday, December 7, 2018 in her home. She was the beloved wife of the late James A. Medley and mother of Marjorie M. Medley and Dorothy A. Colletto. Born September 13, 1926 in Liverpool, England, she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Ellen Disley Quinn. In addition to her daughters, she is survived by her grandchildren, Sean D. Colletto, and Raymond Colletto Jr., great grandchildren, Brett Colletto, Lacey Kane, and Jason Kane, brother, Frannie Quinn, sister in law Doris Quinn and many nieces, nephews,cousins and friends. She was predeceased by granddaughter, Vicky Lynn Kane, sisters, Mary Thomas and Dorothy Kennedy, brothers, Sidney George, Thomas, Anthony, John and George. Marjorie was a British War Bride of World War II. She enjoyed spending time over the years with her grandchildren, cooking, gardening, sewing, and later in her life her word puzzles and favorite western shows. She always had kind words for everyone she knew. The love of her life were her pets, Peewee and Mushee. She was a religious person and through her faith weathered the storm of her health issues. She was a strong and determined woman. “Our Mother is now at Peace. We will miss her so much. Gentle and kind woman always with a smile. Goodnight and God Bless Mom. Rest in Peace.” Friends may greet her family Wednesday morning at 11:00- 12noon in the Redgate Hennessy Funeral Home, Main Street and Gorham Place, Trumbull. A prayer service will begin at 12noon. Marjorie will be buried with her beloved husband James in Springfield National Cemetery, Missouri.
