Matthew Lantowski Jr.

Matthew Lantowski, Jr., of Westport, brother of Michael P. Lantowski of Shelton, passed away on Friday, June 15, 2018 in Norwalk Hospital. Matthew was born in Bridgeport, on December 29, 1957 and was the son of the late Matthew and Rose Maccharoli Lantowski. For many years, Matthew was a client at the Kennedy Center, Trumbull, and most recently Star Inc., Norwalk. He was also a resident for ten years at Clasp Homes in Westport. Matthew was beloved by countless friends and family and lived and loved unconditionally bringing joy to whoever he met. He embraced both Catholicism and Judaism and would often accompany his brother Michael to both houses of worship to hear him work as an accompanist and choral director. In addition to his brother Michael, survivors include a sister-in-law Lynn Palmieri of Derby, his group home mom Peggie Stewart and the whole staff at Clasp homes and several loving cousins and aunts and uncles. He was predeceased by Michael’s partner Arne P. Palmieri. All are invited to attend a Requiem Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, June 22, 2018 at 10:00a.m., meeting directly at Saint Pius X Church, 834 Brookside Drive, Fairfield. Interment will follow at Saint Michael’s Cemetery, 2205 Stratford Avenue, Stratford, CT 06615. Redgate – Hennessy Funeral Directors is assisting the family with the arrangements.
