After experiencing the season of long-suffering in health, loving mother, sister, aunt, and devoted servant of the most high God, Mireille Leon Sapp, transcended to be with the Lord on Monday, July 29th, 2019. Mireille peacefully transcended at the Hewitt Health and Rehabilitation Center at age 64.
Mireille was born in Port Au Prince, Haiti on April 24th, 1955 to the late Anne Antonia Leon and Oreste Leon. She is the third in birth order of five children. Mireille came to the United States of America in her early 20’s and spent most of her life in Bridgeport, CT. She worked as a child care provider, Home-care worker, AT&T customer service representative, and Wonder Bread factory worker. Due to Mireille’s strong love for her children, she became a full-time stay at home single parent. She spent most of her time raising her children in the community of Christian believers.
The glory of the Lord was upon Mireille as she dedicated herself to seeking the will of God and sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ. Mireille spent nights in tent revivals with her children, 24 hour prayer services, and in the community raising money for the church body. Her faith led her to be a devoted evangelist throughout Connecticut. She has preached the good news, passed tracks and tithing envelopes on the streets, in grocery stores, plazas, department stores, parks, hospitals, and nursing homes. Mireille had no fear, no shame, and an outward boldness in preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ. She held a respect for authority, the police and store managers knew her well. She would also want the world to remember to pay tithes, offering, and to love your pastor.
She joined several churches of different denominations. She held dear to the Seven Day Adventist, Baptist, Pentecostal, Haitian Body of Christ, and Non-Denominational churches. These churches have been near and dear to her heart. She has fellowshipped with Church of Love, Household of Faith, Bridgeport Tabernacle Seven-Day Adventist, and Cornerstone Christian Center. She also had a love and appreciation for the Trinity Broadcast Network (TBN), Benny Hinn, and TD Jakes.
Left to cherish the memory of Mireille are her two daughters Natalie Annan and husband David Annan, Mireille Gaines and husband Steven Gaines Jr. Mireille is also the proud grandmother of two beautiful children Nevaeh and Heaven Annan. In addition, she is survived by:
Brothers: Jean Robert, Daniel and his wife Marie, and Gary and his wife Yolette
Sister: Marlene
Grandchildren: Nevaeh and Heaven
Nieces: Nathasha, Sabine, Lisa, Bianca, Danielle
Nephews: Gorby, Gardy, Garfeny, and Jonathan
Mireille has held a special reverence for her family and will be remembered for her anointing, love, and faith. She will truly be missed.
