Nancy A. Heyer Doelger, R.N., age 66, of Bridgeport, beloved wife of Peter F. Doelger, passed away Monday March 6, 2017, in her home. Nancy was born in Bay Shore, Long Island, beloved daughter and best friend of Anne Vitale Heyer of Gainesville, FL (Godspeed until we meet again) and the late William Heyer. She received her B.S. in Nursing at Hunter College and retired in 2015 after 37 years of service with St. Vincent’s Medical Center, her last position being with the family birthing center. Nancy was a member of the Perinatal Society, an avid quilter and an accomplished baker, whether it be a treat for family and friends or a beautiful wedding cake. In addition to her beloved husband and mother, she leaves two loving daughters, Courtney Oliver and husband Daniel of Union, ME and Kimberly Doelger and fiancée Chase of Atlanta, GA, a cherished grandson, Jack Oliver, two sisters, Lucille Skelley and husband Paul of Gainesville, FL and Vicki Parrinello and husband Michael of Bohemia, Long Island, a sister-in-law Daphne Doelger-Dwyer of St. Augustine, FL; also several nieces and nephews.
