Patricia Cleary Lannon

June 22, 1934 ~ October 13, 2018 (age 84)

Patricia Cleary Lannon, age 84, passed away peacefully at Bridgeport Hospital on Saturday, October 13, 2018. Born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, Pat was the cherished only child of the late Edward and Mae Cleary. She was predeceased this August by her beloved husband of 63 years, John A. Lannon. They were longtime residents of Fairfield, where they raised their family. Pat was dedicated to her husband, children, grandchildren, extended family and friends throughout her entire life. She leaves behind her three children Patrice A. Lannon, John Cleary Lannon and Eileen Lannon Blees and her husband, George, all of Fairfield. She will be fondly remembered by her three grandchildren, Makenzie and John Wyatt Lannon and Brendan Cleary Dee Blees.  She was predeceased by her infant grandson, Corrigan Lannon Blees. Pat graduated from St Agnes Seminary in Brooklyn, an all-girls Catholic school she attended from first through twelfth grade. She then went on to graduate from St Joseph College in Emmitsburg, MD. It is there where she met John while he was at nearby Mount St. Mary’s College. Pat’s family would like to sincerely thank Claudette, Lane, Nelly, Novlette and Stephanie for the excellent care and compassion they provided both Pat and John these past eleven months. Pat and John were very proud to have had three generations of their family graduate from Fairfield Prep. They were loyal friends to the Jesuit community and strong believers in the “Men and Women for Others” values they upheld. As a result, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Fairfield Prep, 1073 North Benson Road, Fairfield, CT in honor of the Rev. Thomas A. Murphy, S.J. Memorial Scholarship Fund. Friends may greet the family at the Redgate - Hennessy Funeral Home, Main Street and Four Gorham Place, Trumbull on Saturday, October 20, 2018 from 9:30a.m. to 11:00a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will occur Saturday, October 20, 2018 at Noon in St. Pius X Church, 834 Brookside Drive, Fairfield.
