Pierino “Angelino” Lisi

Pierino (“Angelino”) Lisi, age 90 of Bridgeport, beloved husband of Mariana Marandola Lisi, and the son of the late Salvatore and Victoria Lisi, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, February 16, 2021 with his family by his side. Pierino was born on January 1, 1931 in Strangolagalli, Frosinone, Italy, moved to Montreal at age 21 where he started his family and then ultimately moved to Bridgeport.  Pierino was a member of Laborers' Union Local 665 and a longtime member of the Circolo Sportivo Italian Club in Bridgeport. He most enjoyed eating dinner and drinking wine with his family, gardening and playing cards.  In addition to his beloved wife Mariana of 64 years, he is survived by his daughters, Anna Paniccia and her husband Joseph of Trumbull, Joanna Ferreira and her husband Carlos of Shelton, and Margie Giacobbe and her husband Bobby Grabowski of Trumbull, cherished grandchildren, Sabrina and Jaclyn Sallati, Daniela (Anthony) Vespucci, and Laura (Traci) Paniccia, Matthew (Karleigh), Michael and Megan Ferreira, Briana and Kayla Giacobbe and Noah Grabowski, his great grandchildren, Luca and Mila Vespucci, Jordan and Elijah Plummer, and Letty Paniccia and his siblings, Arduino Lisi and Adriana (Mario) Bernardi, as well as many loving nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by his loving daughter Rosanna Sallati and sister-in-law Bianca Lisi.   Pierino’s family would like to thank his doctors Masone, Lam and Rosa for their care over the last several years, as well as, the hospice nurses of Hartford Heath Care. Funeral services will be held Monday at 10am meeting directly in St. Andrew Church, Bridgeport with a Mass of Christian Burial. Entombment will follow in Mountain Grove Cemetery, Bridgeport. Friends may call Sunday 3:00 – 5:00pm in Redgate-Hennessy Funeral Home, Main Street and Gorham Place, Trumbull. Visitors are asked to wear masks and social distance as they walk through, pay their respects, and exit in a timely manner to ensure all guests can come through the building.
