Robert M. Kovatch

Robert M. Kovatch of Fairfield, Connecticut, age 54, died on April 24, 2018 at St. Vincent's Hospital, Bridgeport of heart failure after a short illness.

Robert was born in Darby, Pennsylvania and grew up in Boothwyn, Pennsylvania. He attended Delaware County Community College, and then served briefly in the U.S. Navy, where he was assigned to the Asian Pacific destroyer fleet. An outgoing personality and zest for fun, Robert worked in fields including culinary arts, residential construction, and event marketing. He enjoyed writing poetry, stamp collecting, and loved his Old English Sheepdogs, Teddy and Ollie.

Robert lived with his long-term friend and companion Richard Haux. He is survived by his Mother, Margaret A. Kovatch, sisters Margaret Rayzis and Kathleen Chemi, brothers, Louis Kovatch and Daniel Kovatch and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased are his Father, John D. Kovatch and brother John D. Kovatch, Jr.
