Robert M. St. John, of Trumbull, CT and Lighthouse Point FL, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 25, 2022 at St. Vincent’s Hospital. Born on May 3, 1941, he was the son of the late Eugene E and Isabell (Kiernan) St. John.
Robert was born in Waterbury, CT and grew up in Naugatuck, CT. He was a graduate of St. Michael’s College in Vermont and earned his MBA from St. John’s University in NYC. He was a member of the National Guard and spent his career in the financial industry. He was an Eagle Scout, served on the school board at St. Theresa’s in the 80’s and 90’s and was a member of the Knights of Columbus and the Gaelic-American Club in Fairfield. Bob was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He loved western movies, especially starring John Wayne, the Yankees, traveling to Europe, discussing current affairs with friends at the pool in Florida but mostly spending as much time as possible with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Maureen, his son Bobby of Trumbull and fiance’ Jenny Lupone, his daughter Debbie and her husband Richard Silvia of Middletown, RI, his grandchildren Caitlin, Nicky, Samantha, Kathleen and Piper St. John, his sisters-in-law Dottie McGrath and Patricia Smith and his nephew Jamie St. John.
He was predeceased by his daughter, Christine St. John, his brothers Eugene and Kevin St. John and his niece, Kina St. John.

Funeral services will be held Friday at 11:45am from the Redgate-Hennessy Funeral Home, Main Street and Gorham Place, Trumbull and at 12:30pm in St. Theresa Church with a Mass of Christian Burial. The Mass will be live-streamed. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Friends may call Thursday 4-7pm at the funeral home.
