Maureen was a trained mezzo soprano.  Before she married, she was a professional singer, performing at the U.S.O. for the servicemen during WW II.  She met the love of her life, Albert George Kick, on a blind date. He served as a marine during the war and it was love at first sight for both of them when they met. They married eleven months later and were married for over 60 years. Maureen spent many hours volunteering at St. Augustine's Cathedral and Our Lady of Assumption Church, as well as singing in both choirs. Maureen was predeceased by her beloved husband, Albert, and her sisters, Kathleen Magee Jacoby and Pauline Magee Egan.
