Stephen N. Francia, age 64, beloved husband of Cynthia Elia Francia, of Trumbull, passed away Sunday, February 14, 2021 at his home surrounded by his beloved family. Stephen was born in the Bronx, NY a son of the late Nicholas and Carmela Amoroso Francia. A long time Trumbull resident he was the owner of The Wilton Deli. Prior to owning The Wilton Deli, he owned Steve's Famous Rib House on Long Island. Stephen loved cooking (as long as he was the only cook in the kitchen), but found even greater joy in sharing his meals with friends and family. If you couldn’t find Stephen by the pool listening to Frank Sinatra, he was probably at the beach in Lavalette, driving one of his cars, or playing with his puppies. He was always the centerpiece at family gatherings and will be missed, but never forgotten.
In addition to his wife Cindy, survivors include loving children, son Matthew S. Francia of Trumbull and daughter Melissa Jaekle and husband Timothy of New York, NY, sister Paula Poisella and husband Michael of Trumbull, brother Richard Francia and wife Ann Marie of Norwalk, plus many nieces and nephews. Stephen was predeceased by a brother, Michael Francia. Family and friends are invited to visit Wednesday, February 17, from 4 PM to 8 PM at the family’s home. Funeral services will be held Friday, February 19 in Christ the King Church, Trumbull, at 12:30 PM with a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Stephen’s memory to the Creutzfeldt-Jacob Disease Foundation, Inc. at https://cjdfoundation.org/donate.
