Theodore R. Jeffries passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by family and friends on Monday, October 18th, 2021 at the age of 64, after a courageous battle with cancer. Ted was born on November 11th, 1956 in Stamford, CT and graduated from Masuk High School in Monroe, CT in 1975. Ted was the son of the late Yvette Picard and Theodore Jeffries. He was a machinist and business owner for most of his life, an active member of his church, a regular volunteer with the Bridgeport Rescue Mission, and frequently participated in missions trips to Panama. He enjoyed riding his mountain bike, driving his Astro van, and sitting with friends drinking coffee at Starbucks. Ted was most known for his larger than life personality and reminding all that he “Never Had It So Good.”
Ted is survived by his son, Brian Jeffries and wife Jessica of Tampa, FL, his daughter Danielle Marenholz and husband Josh of Meriden, CT, his former spouse Chris Decker of Bethlehem, CT, his sister Melanie Fortin and husband Steve of Southington, CT, his sisters Michele Picard and June Vann both of TX, his stepparents Paul and Nenita Huber, their son Dylan, as well his nieces and nephews Shannon, Daniel, Jeremy, Nathaniel, and Genevieve.
Services will be held at Stepney Baptist Church, Monroe on Saturday December 4th, 2021 at 1:00pm. In lieu of flowers, please make a contribution to the Bridgeport Rescue Mission or Stepney Baptist Church.
