William H. Harris

William H. Harris, (Bill), age 41, of Shelton, beloved son of the late Carol and Harlan Harris Jr. passed away peacefully on Friday October 22, 2021.

Bill was born in Bridgeport, grew up in Trumbull, and graduated from Trumbull High School, class of 1999.  Bill loved animals, dogs in particular, and he spent the last 13 years caring for his beloved dog, Max, who he lost earlier this year.  Bill enjoyed many trips to Las Vegas with his friends and brother.  He was an avid sports fan and spent time traveling the country to attend Baseball Card shows to build his card collection.  He loved the NY Yankees and held the Buffalo Bills closest to his heart, enjoying “Football Sundays”, ringing his cow bell every time the Bills scored a touchdown. In recent years, Bill discovered a love for the game of golf and could often be found at Short Beach or Tashua Knolls trying to better his game. In May of this year, Bill got his “hole in one” on the 4th hole of Tashua Glen.

Bill leaves behind his devoted Mom, Sally Harris, who raised him with Harlan from childhood.  In addition, Bill is survived by his brother Sean Doherty, sister and brother-in-law, Shannon and Jamie Smith, niece Mary Grace Smith, nephew James Smith, aunt Winnie Wynne, uncle Jack and aunt Janet Wynne, cousins Jon Pelletier (Stephanie), Cara Pelletier (Sean Nolan), Liam Nolan, Connor Nolan, Mary Kate Wynne, Jackson Wynne and Elizabeth Wynne. Bill also leaves behind a group of incredibly devoted friends that have stood by his side for years, and he will forever be remembered as “Bobby B”.

Bill was predeceased by his grandparents, William and Caroline Kursch, Harlan and Marion Harris, Mary Lou Wynne, his aunt Merry Lynn Pelletier, uncle Paul Pelletier and cousin Conor Wynne.

Funeral services will be held Thursday at 10:00a.m., in the Redgate - Hennessy Funeral Home, Main Street and Gorham Place, Trumbull.  Interment will follow in Long Hill Burial Grounds, Trumbull.  Family and friends may call Wednesday 4:00p.m. to 8:00p.m., at the funeral home.
