Rosalie F. Chonka Amidon, age 97 of Trumbull passed away Saturday, March 18, 2017 in her home. She was the beloved wife of the late W. Warren Amidon. Born in Stratford she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Rose Fedor Chonka. Rosalie and Warren were married in Stratford on May 15, 1948 and moved to Trumbull in 1949. She was active with the St. Theresa Seniors, Trumbull Seniors and Red Hat Ladies. Rosalie enjoyed baking cookies for her grandchildren and was an avid Scrabble player. Survivors include her devoted son, William W. Amidon III and his wife Anne of Trumbull, loving grandchildren, W. Warren Amidon IV and his fiancé, Rose Jensen, Jennettie R. Amidon and Wendy E. Amidon. In addition to her husband and parents she was predeceased by two brothers Andrew and Charles Chonka. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 9:45am from the Redgate-Hennessy Funeral Home, Main Street and Gorham Place, Trumbull and at 10:30am in St. Theresa Church, 5301 Main Street Trumbull with a Mass of Christian Burial.
